AN ACT REQUIRING PROOF OF MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION TO BE EXHIBITED ON MOTOR VEHICLE NUMBER PLATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Section 14-12 of the general statutes is amended by adding subsection (l) as follows (Effective October 1, 2011):
(NEW) (l) Each registration certificate or registration renewal certificate issued for a motor vehicle shall be accompanied by a sticker or other verification of such registration for each number plate issued for such vehicle. Such sticker or verification shall be affixed to each such number plate at all times during the period for which such registration is effective, in a manner prescribed by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
