FRANTZ, 36th Dist. SEN. GUGLIELMO, 35th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING THE WAIVER OF FINES AND PENALTIES FOR CERTAIN BUSINESS REGULATION VIOLATIONS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to abate any fine or penalty assessed to a business by a state agency for a first-time violation of a noncriminal regulation when the violating business takes full remedial measures within thirty days of such assessment. Statement of Purpose: To permit businesses to remediate regulatory problems without penalty if such problems are remediated in a timely manner.
