2121 AN ACT CONCERNING AN EXEMPTION FROM THE SALES TAX FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES PROVIDED TO BUSINESSES.

2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2525 That subparagraph (I) of subdivision (37) of subsection (a) of section 12-407 of the general statutes be amended to exclude from the sales tax any environmental services provided to industrial, commercial or income-producing real property.

2929 To remove the sales tax on environmental services to businesses, including cleanup of hazardous spills, evaluation of contamination and similar services, in order to prevent loss of business in such services to other states.
