2424 AN ACT CONCERNING INVASIVE PLANTS.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2012) The sum of ninety thousand dollars is appropriated to The University of Connecticut, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013, and each fiscal year thereafter, for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources' Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture to fund an invasive plants coordinator to assist the Invasive Plants Council established pursuant to section 22a-381 of the general statutes in developing early detection and rapid response plans, educating the public regarding invasive species, and training and coordinating volunteers to assist on invasive plant control projects.
