2424 AN ACT CONCERNING EXPENDITURES FOR THE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2012) The State Board of Education shall review the programs and services administered or provided by the Department of Education in order to: (1) Evaluate the effectiveness and benefits of such programs and services, and (2) assign priority for the continued funding of such programs and services. The board shall submit, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to appropriations and the budgets of state agencies not later than January 1, 2013.
