AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY WEEK.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Subsection (a) of section 10-29a of the general statutes is amended by adding subdivision (62) as follows (Effective from passage):
(NEW) (62) The Governor shall proclaim the second week in September of each year to be Health Information Technology Week in recognition of the value of information technology and management systems to transforming and improving the quality and the cost of the health care system in the state. Suitable exercises shall be held in the State Capitol and elsewhere as the Governor designates for the observance of the week.
