AN ACT INCREASING THE PERSONAL NEEDS ALLOWANCE FOR CERTAIN LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY RESIDENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 17b-106 of the 2012 supplement to the general statutes be amended to (1) restore the personal needs allowance to 2010 levels for long-term care facility residents who receive Medicaid and federal Supplemental Security Income Program payments, and (2) add a cost of living allowance of 3.6 per cent, making the new base allowance seventy-one dollars and fifty cents.

Statement of Purpose: 

To increase the personal needs allowance for certain long-term care facility residents.
