AN ACT AUTHORIZING AN UPDATED ADVANCED COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY STUDY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Office of Legislative Management shall, within available appropriations, contract with the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering to update the academy's report dated December 15, 2006, on advanced communications technologies, including, but not limited to, the economic impact of investment in advanced technologies, and report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of such update to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to commerce and energy and technology on or before June 30, 2013.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
