AN ACT REQUIRING RETAILERS TO DISCLOSE SPECIFIC ABSORPTION RATES FOR CELLULAR TELEPHONES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Consumer Protection, in consultation with the Commissioner of Public Health, shall issue a notice detailing recommended best practices for the safe use of cellular mobile telephone devices. Such notice shall be posted on the Department of Consumer Protection's Internet web site. For purposes of this section, "cellular mobile telephone device" means a portable wireless telephone device that is designed to send or receive transmissions through a cellular radiotelephone service, as defined in 47 CFR 22.99.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
