AN ACT CONCERNING CHARGES FOR PATIENT CARE BY NURSING HOMES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 368v of the general statutes be amended to change the current flat-rate system used by nursing homes to charge for patient care to a new system that calculates such charges based on each patient's individual health care needs.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the state's overall Medicaid costs.
