AN ACT CONCERNING THE REFILL OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS WHEN THERE IS SEVERE WEATHER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 20-616 of the general statutes be amended to require a pharmacist to refill a prescription up to two days earlier than indicated by the prescribing practitioner at the request of a patient when a severe weather advisory has been issued for the area in which the pharmacy refilling the prescription is located.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require pharmacies to fill prescriptions up to two days early when there is a severe weather emergency.
