AN ACT CONCERNING USE OF REVENUES FROM BUS AND RAIL FARE INCREASES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that an amount equal to the amount of any revenue raised from fare increases on bus and rail transportation users in Connecticut be appropriated to the Department of Transportation and used by such department for upgrades to bus and rail service, operations and maintenance.
Statement of Purpose:
To require that the scheduled bus and rail fare increases be used for bus and rail operations, maintenance and service upgrades.
