AN ACT AUTHORIZING CERTAIN EMERGENCY RESPONSE EMPLOYEES TO ENROLL IN THE MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Subdivision (11) of section 7-425 of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2013):
(11) "Regional emergency telecommunications center" means [an] any entity authorized by the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection as [the] a public safety answering point responsible for the receipt and processing of 9-1-1 calls for at least three municipalities.
