AN ACT CONCERNING AN EDUCATION SYSTEM THAT PREPARES STUDENTS FOR COLLEGE AND THE WORKFORCE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to create a public school education system for grades kindergarten through higher education that will bring together (1) groups responsible for teacher preparation, certification and professional standards, (2) groups responsible for curriculum development, (3) school districts, and (4) public institutions of higher education to produce a framework from which students can learn and become adequately prepared for college and be successful as part of the workforce.

Statement of Purpose: 

To create a cohesive education system in the state that prepares students for college and the workforce.
