2323 AN ACT REQUIRING SMOKE AND CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTION AND WARNING EQUIPMENT IN ALL RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS.

2525 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2727 That section 29-292 of the general statutes be amended to require that all residential buildings be equipped with carbon monoxide detection and warning equipment, unless such building does not contain a fuel-burning appliance, fireplace or attached garage, and smoke detection and warning equipment, regardless of the building's occupancy design or the date on which a building permit for new occupancy was issued.
