AN ACT CONCERNING COMPLAINTS MADE BY UNIT OWNERS AND TENANTS IN COMMON INTEREST COMMUNITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 47-261b of the general statutes be amended to provide that the association of a common interest community may not enact or enforce any rule that requires a complaint by a unit owner or tenant relating to the common interest community to be in writing.

Statement of Purpose: 

To ensure that unit owners and tenants in common interest communities are not required to put in writing any complaints relating to the common interest community.
