AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF BREAST CANCER RATES IN THE STATE AND POTENTIAL CAUSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 368a of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Public Health to study the high rate of breast cancer in Connecticut, and particularly the lower Naugatuck valley area, to identify potential causes and environmental risk factors.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require the Department of Public Health to study possible causes for breast cancer incidents in the state and identify environmental risks that may be removed.
