AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SLIDING FEE SCALE BASED ON FAMILY INCOME FOR PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS OFFERED AT MAGNET SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 172 of the general statutes be amended to establish, for the school year commencing July 1, 2013, and each school year thereafter, a sliding fee scale based on family income for tuition to be charged to the parents or guardians of children enrolled in preschool programs offered at interdistrict magnet schools.
Statement of Purpose:
To offset the cost of providing preschool education opportunities offered at interdistrict magnet schools.
