AN ACT CONCERNING REVISIONS TO THE STATE BUILDING CODE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (a) of section 29-252 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the State Building Inspector and the Codes and Standards Committee shall update the State Building Code not later than January 1, 2014, to incorporate revisions to the National Electrical Code, as adopted by the National Fire Protection Association, and thereafter as deemed necessary, but in no event shall the State Building Code be updated more than twelve months after the date of first publication of subsequent revisions to the National Electrical Code.
Statement of Purpose:
To require prompt revision of the State Building Code with respect to updates to nationally recognized electrical standards.
