AN ACT REQUIRING PUBLICLY-FUNDED CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS TO USE MATERIALS MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to create a Buy American program that shall require any contractor or subcontractor working on a construction project in the state that is funded in whole or in part by public funds to use materials and products manufactured in the United States when possible. Statement of Purpose: To require contractors working on publicly-funded construction projects to use materials and products manufactured in the United States.
