2424 AN ACT CONCERNING CONSUMER PROTECTION OF CABLE TELEVISION AND VIDEO SERVICE CUSTOMERS.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority shall initiate a docket to evaluate additional consumer protections for customers of holders of a certificate of cable franchise authority, as defined in section 16-1 of the general statutes, and holders of a certificate of video franchise authority, as defined in section 16-1 of the general statutes, including, but not limited to, customer notification of pricing changes. On or before January 1, 2014, the authority shall report the findings of such docket to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to energy, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.
