AN ACT MEMORIALIZING THE LEGALITY OF PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to set forth in incontrovertible language that project labor agreements, as defined in section 31-56a of the general statutes, entered into between a public entity and any person performing work on a specific public works project are enforceable and such agreements shall not be the basis of a lawsuit against such public entity.

Statement of Purpose:

To make clear that project labor agreements are valid legal mechanisms and that entering into a project labor agreement cannot be the basis of a lawsuit against any public entity that is party to such project labor agreement.
