1224 AN ACT CONCERNING UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION.

1426 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

16-Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2014) The Labor Department shall conduct a study to evaluate the effectiveness of the current unemployment compensation system within the state. The department shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of the study to the General Assembly on or before February 1, 2015.

(Effective July 1, 2014) The joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor and public employees shall conduct a study to evaluate the effectiveness of the current unemployment compensation system within the state. The committee shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of the study to the General Assembly on or before February 1, 2015.
