2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That chapter 155 of the general statutes be amended to (1) prohibit any treasurer of a federal account, as defined in section 9-601 of the general statutes, of a state party, from making a contribution or expenditure to, or for the benefit of, the candidate committee of a candidate seeking a state public office, and (2) impose a civil penalty not exceeding three times the amount of any contribution or expenditure made in violation of this prohibition.
