524 AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF CYBERSECURITY.

726 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

928 Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The Department of Administrative Services, in consultation with the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, shall, within available appropriations, conduct a study to identify cybersecurity issues facing the state and to make recommendations regarding specific actions that the state can implement to promote and coordinate communication between government entities, law enforcement, institutions of higher education, the private sector and the public to improve cybersecurity preparedness.

1130 (b) Not later than January 1, 2017, the Department of Administrative Services shall submit the results of such study and any recommendations to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public safety and security, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.
