AN ACT CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE OF "DONATE LIFE" NUMBER PLATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall issue "Donate Life" number plates of a design to enhance public awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donations, and that a fee shall be charged for the issuance of such number plates which shall be in addition to the regular fee or fees prescribed for the registration of a motor vehicle and which shall be used to pay the administrative costs of issuing such number plates.
Statement of Purpose:
To enhance public awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donations.
