AN ACT EXPANDING THE SET-ASIDE PROGRAM FOR SMALL CONTRACTORS AND MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISES TO INCLUDE CERTAIN BROKERAGE AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 58 of the general statutes be amended to expand the set-aside program for small contractors and minority business enterprises to include certain brokerage and investment management services contracted for by the state, providing the services relate to specified asset classes under certain circumstances, to require the adoption of guidelines for the use of such services and to require an annual report to the General Assembly concerning the use of minority business enterprise brokerage and investment management services.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand the set-aside program for small contractors and minority business enterprises to include certain brokerage and investment management services.
