AN ACT CREATING A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR REGIONAL COMMUNITY-TECHNICAL COLLEGE STUDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to create a scholarship program for students who are accepted for full-time admission by a regional community-technical college and who (1) graduated from high school with an overall grade point average of two and one-half points or higher on a four-point scale or from a high school with a documented mastery of institutionally identified skills that equate to a two and one-half grade point average or higher on a four-point scale, (2) have at least a ninety-five per cent attendance rate for grades nine through twelve, (3) performed at least fifty hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring for younger students, and (4) maintained a record of good citizenship and avoidance of the unlawful use of drugs and alcohol, provided such students shall seek all available financial assistance prior to receiving a scholarship under this program for any remaining tuition at the regional community-technical college and maintain a grade point average of two and one-half points or higher on a four-point scale.

To create a scholarship program for regional community-technical college students.
