AN ACT CONCERNING OVERTIME COSTS OF RESIDENT STATE POLICE OFFICERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 29-5 of the general statutes be amended to reduce the amount that municipalities pay the cost of overtime and the portion of fringe benefits associated with such overtime of resident state policemen from one hundred per cent to seventy per cent.

Statement of Purpose: 

To restore the cost of the resident state trooper program as it existed on June 30, 2011, when municipalities paid seventy per cent of the cost and other expenses of such program.
