(Effective from passage) (a) There is established a task force to examine the education and training of law enforcement officers in the state relative to recognized national best practices. The task force shall examine: (1) The current basic curriculum and practices, (2) the instruction and delivery of the basic curriculum, (3) the feasibility and desirability of offering training at satellite campuses, and (4) such other topics as the task force deems appropriate relating to police training. | |

| 41 | + | (f) Not later than October 1, 2017, the task force shall submit a final report on its findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public safety and security, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes. The task force shall terminate on the date that it submits such report or October 1, 2017, whichever is later. |
