1224 AN ACT REPEALING CERTAIN STATUTES RELATED TO MOVING PICTURES.

1426 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

1628 Section 1. Subsection (b) of section 51-164n of the 2016 supplement to the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2016):

1830 (b) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes, any person who is alleged to have committed (1) a violation under the provisions of section 1-9, 1-10, 1-11, 4b-13, 7-13, 7-14, 7-35, the provisions of section 12-484, 12-487 or 13b-410, or (4) a violation of any ordinance, regulation or bylaw of any town, city or borough, except violations of building codes and the health code, for which the penalty exceeds ninety dollars but does not exceed two hundred fifty dollars, unless such town, city or borough has established a payment and hearing procedure for such violation pursuant to section 7-152c, shall follow the procedures set forth in this section.

20-Sec. 2. Sections 29-109, 29-111 to 29-113, inclusive, 29-115, 29-117, 29-120, 29-127 and 29-128b of the general statutes are repealed. (Effective July 1, 2016)
32+Sec. 2. Section 29-128b of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2016):

34+No person [holding a license under the provisions of this chapter] shall exhibit, show or use any moving picture film in a place to which an admission fee is charged without prominently displaying the "G", "PG", "R" or "X" rating of such film. If such place has a marquee on which film names or titles are displayed, such person shall display the film rating on such marquee. If such place does not have a marquee, such person shall display the rating of each film being exhibited on a sign or poster located on the exterior of such place. Such sign or poster shall be of a size reasonably calculated to attract the attention of persons entering such place.
