AN ACT CONCERNING TEMPORARY REGISTRATION FOR MOTOR VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (i) of section 14-12 of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue a temporary registration to the owner of a motor vehicle that needs a safety inspection or emissions inspection for at least twenty-one days, instead of a period of time to be determined by the commissioner.
Statement of Purpose:
To make temporary registration of a motor vehicle valid for a twenty-one-day period and give motor vehicle owners more time to submit their vehicles to a safety inspection or emissions inspection.
