AN ACT EXPANDING ELIGIBILITY FOR THE ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE RESPITE CARE PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 17b-349e of the general statutes be amended to increase the annual income limit for individual's with Alzheimer's disease to participate in the state's respite care program from forty-one thousand dollars to fifty thousand dollars and to eliminate the requirement that the Commissioner on Aging operate the program within available appropriations.

Statement of Purpose: 

To expand eligibility for the Alzheimer's disease respite care program.
