AN ACT REQUIRING THE REGISTRATION OF CERTAIN ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES TO FUND THE MAINTENANCE OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE TRAILS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the registration of any all-terrain vehicle that is not solely operated on the property of the vehicle's owner and that such annual registration fee be thirty dollars. Additionally, the revenue from such registration fees would be required to be used by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to maintain all-terrain vehicle trails on state property. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide a funding source for the creation and maintenance of all-terrain vehicle trails on state property.
