AN ACT REQUIRING A RESTRUCTURING OF THE AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTER TAX.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 211a of the general statutes be amended to restructure the gross receipts tax on ambulatory surgical centers to be in compliance with federal regulations and prevent reductions in federal financial participation grant awards.

Statement of Purpose: 

To ensure patient access to high-quality effective care in convenient community-based surgical centers and provide tax relief to patients and state businesses by restructuring the ambulatory surgical center tax.
