AN ACT PROVIDING A MOTOR VEHICLE TAX EXEMPTION TO VETERANS AND SENIOR CITIZENS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to provide to any resident of the state who is a veteran or has attained the age of sixty-five or over an exemption from property tax on a motor vehicle in the amount of twenty per cent of the assessed value of such resident's motor vehicle.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a motor vehicle tax exemption to veterans and senior citizens.
