AN ACT CONCERNING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND TAX EXPENDITURES FOR BUSINESSES WITH HIGH CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER PAY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide that eligibility for state financial assistance and tax expenditures be denied to corporations whose chief executive officer earns more than one hundred times the average wage for a worker in the state.

Statement of Purpose: 

To deny economic assistance and tax expenditures to any corporation whose chief executive officer earns more than one hundred times the average wage for a worker in Connecticut.
