2424 AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SPECIAL REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That, notwithstanding the provisions of section 10-240 of the general statutes, title 10 of the general statutes be amended to establish a special regional school district that shall (1) be governed by a special regional board of education, established and elected in accordance with the provisions of 10-46 of the general statutes, and (2) enter into cooperative arrangements with other school districts to fill any available seats in accordance with the Open Choice Program, pursuant to section 10-266aa of the general statutes. The special regional school district shall be established as the Special Regional School District of Windham, and shall include the towns of Windham, Chaplin, Columbia, Franklin, Lebanon, Mansfield, Sprague and Scotland, and replace any single-town school district situated in any of the towns.
