AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2017) No legislative body of a municipality shall vote to approve any new municipal construction project for which the estimated cost is greater than twenty-five million dollars unless there has been opportunity for public comment on such project at a properly noticed public hearing in such municipality prior to such vote.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
