2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. Section 16-19hh of the general statutes is amended by adding subsection (d) as follows (Effective October 1, 2017):

3030 (NEW) (d) (1) Each gas company shall propose, in its first application for an amendment of rates filed pursuant to section 16-19 on or after October 1, 2017, an interruptible rate for manufacturing facilities that do not have a backup fuel. (2) No manufacturing facility shall utilize such interruptible rate, as described in subdivision (1) of this subsection, if such utilization would endanger the public health or safety.
