AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE DRUG RECOGNITION EXPERT PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sufficient funds be appropriated to the Department of Transportation, from the Special Transportation Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018, to fund the drug recognition expert program so that a sufficient number of state and municipal police officers will be qualified to identify drivers impaired by drugs. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To fund the drug recognition expert program in Connecticut.
