AN ACT CONCERNING INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION EXPENSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require that the insurance carrier of a student receiving special education and related services is responsible for covering the expenses of such special education and related services before the board of education for such student is responsible for such expenses.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the cost of special education to school districts.
