AN ACT CONCERNING APPROVAL OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLANS SUBMITTED BY CONTRACTORS TO THE COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND OPPORTUNITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 46a-68c of the general statutes be amended to provide that (1) the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities shall review and approve or disapprove an affirmative action plan submitted by a contractor, not later than sixty days after the date of submission of such plan, and (2) if an affirmative action plan is not approved or disapproved by the commission within the sixty-day period, the plan shall be approved. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To expedite the review of affirmative action plans submitted by contractors to the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.
