2424 AN ACT CONCERNING MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE POLICY QUOTES.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2018) No insurance company that issues, renews, amends or endorses a private passenger motor vehicle liability insurance policy in this state on or after October 1, 2018, that uses an applicant's or insured's driving history as an underwriting or rating factor with respect to such policy, and no insurance producer who represents such an insurance company with respect to such policy, shall provide a quote to an applicant or an insured for the cost of coverage under such policy unless such quote accounts for the applicant's or insured's driving history and its impact on the cost of such policy.
