| 24 | 24 | That title 16 of the general statutes be amended to require public 1 | |
| 25 | 25 | service companies that plan to engage in a merger, acquisition or 2 | |
| 26 | 26 | change to their corporate structure to: 3 | |
| 27 | 27 | (1) Not less than thirty days prior to the scheduled merger, 4 | |
| 28 | 28 | acquisition or change to corporate structure, provide notice of such 5 | |
| 29 | 29 | merger, acquisition or change to corporate structure to the legislators 6 | |
| 30 | 30 | and municipal leaders that represent each municipality in which such 7 | |
| 31 | 31 | public service company operates; and 8 | |
| 32 | 32 | (2) For a period of not less than thirty days prior to the scheduled 9 | |
| 33 | 33 | merger, acquisition or change to corporate structure, accept public 10 | |
