| 22 | 22 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |

| 25 | 25 | | Section 1. Section 7-275 of the general statutes is repealed and the 1 |

| 26 | 26 | | following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2019): 2 |

| 27 | 27 | | (a) The board of police commissioners shall elect one of its number 3 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | to be chairman and one member to be clerk and shall hold regular 4 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | meetings and keep records of the same. Meetings shall be held upon 5 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | the call of the chairman or of a majority of the members of the board. A 6 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | majority of the members of the board shall constitute a quorum. In the 7 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | event of any vacancy upon the board, the board of selectmen shall 8 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | have authority by majority vote to fill such vacancy until the next town 9 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | election, at which election a member shall be elected for the unexpired 10 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | portion of the term. 11 |

| 36 | 36 | | (b) Notwithstanding any provision of a municipal charter or 12 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | ordinance or special act, no town, city or borough may place 13 |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | requirements on the time or place of a meeting of a board of police 14 |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | commissioners other than as provided in the Freedom of Information 15 Committee Bill No. 5149 |
