| 24 | 24 | (1) no legislator shall be paid a salary in any fiscal year unless a budget 2 | |
| 25 | 25 | for such fiscal year is enacted; and (2) if the budget for a fiscal year is 3 | |
| 26 | 26 | enacted on or after the first day of such fiscal year, each legislator's 4 | |
| 27 | 27 | salary during such fiscal year shall be reduced in proportion to the 5 | |
| 28 | 28 | number of days that elapse before such budget is enacted. 6 | |
