AN ACT ALLOWING MEMBERS OF THE TEACHERS' RETIREMENT
SYSTEM TO PURCHASE CREDITED SERVICE FOR TEACHING
CERTAIN ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-183e of the general statutes be amended to permit a 1
member of the teachers' retirement system to purchase credited service 2
in said system for service as a teacher in an adult education program 3
established by a local or regional board of education pursuant to 4
section 10-69 of the general statutes. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To allow teachers to purchase credit in the teachers' retirement system
for service as a teacher in an adult education program.
