AN ACT PERMITTING PRIVATE THERAPISTS TO PROVIDE CARE TO
STUDENTS AT SCHOOL DURING REGULAR SCHOOL HOURS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 169 of the general statutes be amended to require a 1
local or regional board of education to allow, notwithstanding any 2
agreement of collective bargaining agreement to the contrary, a 3
therapist who is not an employee of such board to provide, pursuant 4
to a written order by a medical professional, therapy or other 5
medically necessary care to a student at the school that such student is 6
enrolled and during regular school hours. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To allow private therapists to provide medically necessary therapy
students at school during regular school hours.
