AN ACT CONCERNING RETAIL PHARMACIES AND EXTENDED SUPPLIES OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to provide that (1) each retail 1 pharmacy licensed in this state may, upon request from an insured, 2 dispense a sixty to ninety-day supply of a prescription drug to the 3 insured if such insured holds a valid prescription for such supply, and 4 (2) no health carrier shall prohibit a retail pharmacy from dispensing 5 such a supply to such an insured. 6 Statement of Purpose: To provide that each retail pharmacy licensed in this state may, upon request from an insured, dispense a sixty to ninety-day supply of a prescription drug to the insured if such insured holds a valid prescription for such supply, and that no health carrier shall prohibit a retail pharmacy from dispensing such a supply to such an insured.
